The DeviGyro RG30 Helix centralizers automatically adapt to the drill string dimension in use and will fit diameters ranging from approximately 30 to 50mm.
The centralizers offer dual functionality, providing solutions for both the proprietary helix surveying method and the standard non-rotating surveying method.
In addition to the centralizers and pressure barrel the RG30 Helix running gear assembly kit includes a top sub swivel, a bull nose and 4 sinker bars that may be mounted in front and behind the pressure barrel to ensure smooth descent down the drill pipe.
The DeviGyro RG30 Helix can be attached directly to the wireline or used in combination with the DeviRodder, making it the ideal solution for any type of small diameter in-rod surveying.

Frequently asked questions about DeviGyro RG30 HELIX
What is provided in the DeviGyro RG30 Helix running gear kit?
The DeviGyro RG30 Helix running gear kit includes a pressure barrel, bull nose, top sub swivel, two RG30 Helix centralizers, four extension/sinker bars and two v-stands.
What is the purpose of dual functionality centralizers?
The helix survey method provides optimal accuracy in most situations, however in some situations, non-rotating centralizers may be preferred, for instance in vertical holes.
Is the DeviGyro RG30 Helix suitable for A-size diamond core drilling?
Yes, the DeviGyro RG30 Helix will work in A-size wireline drill string (35-37 mm).
What are the key differences between DeviGyro RG30 Slimline and DeviGyro RG30 Helix?
The RG30 Slimline is not designed for use with wireline, it is commonly used in combination with a DeviRodder for surveying in short, open hole environments such as drill and blast, where up-holes and horizontal holes are common. Hence it is built using lightweight materials and has a short body.
Though the RG30 Helix is also compatible with the DeviRodder it is specifically designed for in-rod, downhole wireline surveying. Hence it has been built with heavier materials and a longer body, containing a top sub, swivel, bullnose, and centralizers.
Can we survey vertical holes with the DeviGyro RG30 Helix?
Yes, the advanced DeviGyro technology precisely detects and quantifies any deviation the instrument is subjected to as it traverses the drill hole. Providing highly accurate, repeatable data at any angle, including vertical. It is preferable to set the centralizers to non-rotating mode for vertical holes.
What length is the RG30 Helix assembly?
Approximately 1.3m when assembled without any of the 4 extension/sinker bars provided in the kit, 1.9m when assembled with 2 extension/sinker bars and 2.5m when assembled with all 4 extension/sinker bars.
